In 2012

In Virginia

· Sensitized and mobilized churches and Christians to fight against Gender Based Violence and Human Trafficking by presenting the UBUNTU Strategy and their roles

· Sensitized the Christian organization Virginia Beach Initiative to mobilize the churches against GBV and Human Trafficking with the UBUNTU Strategy

· Participated in the Center for Global Justice Symposium during the session on Human Trafficking organized by Regent University and its Center for Global Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law

· Participated to the conference protecting the Rights of Children in Ghana done by the organization Challenging Heights, with a testimony of a survivor of child labor trafficking


In Maryland

· Florence Boivin Roumestan has been invited to present a Conference entitled “Human Trafficking – The Role of the Local Church” by Cross Roads International Fellowship of Princess Anne


New Jersey

· Mobilized and implemented the UBUNTU Strategy in two churches

· Participated in the presentation of the movie Nefarious, done by the Christian Organization Exodus Cry

· Sensitized different churches to the mobilization against Gender Based Violence and Human Trafficking

· Co-organized the 2000 “Roots of Love” Festival for Rwanda in New Jersey, with an African Fashion Show to build a bridge between African-Americans and Africa


CARIBBEAN — Sint Maarten, Netherland Antilles


· Audited a Caribbean radio station and proposed its restructuring, planning and programming

· Conferences and preachings in churches, radio programmes, and Christian youth group sessions to sensitize the Caribbean brethren to the genocide of Rwanda, inform about J&E mission and set up bridges between them and Africans

· Florence Boivin-Roumestan has been the correspondent in Africa for the newspapers Good News Herald in Sint Maarten




· Preaching by Florence Boivin-Roumestan in different churches to sensitize about the needs in the Great Lakes Region in Africa

· Florence Boivin-Roumestan went to Bermuda to plead the cause of Burundi and look for medical doctors and nurses to help the population; she invited Dr Christopher Johnson (President of PROJECT CHANGE BERMUDA) a plastic surgeon who was to go to Tanzania, to make a detour by Burundi and explore its dire medical condition; she then went a second time to Bermuda to help the fundraising for the mission and this enabled a team of eighteen surgeons, medical doctors, nurses and technicians, to come to Bujumbura. They performed ninety six surgeries in one week, brought medical and surgical equipment, and renovated the surgery theatres in two hospitals.
